A personal finance tool that started as a simple dashboard and evolved into a more complete way to track, understand and manage spending.
Project overview
The project began as a small tool to track daily expenses. Over time, it expanded into a more thoughtful product with features like summaries, filtering and search to help make sense of financial data. A simple database was used to store records, with the ability to export data into Google Sheets. A login system was added to keep the data secure.
Challenges
The main challenge was keeping the experience simple while adding more features. It was important to make financial data easy to understand without overwhelming the user. Structuring the data and interactions in a clear way was key.
Results
The product grew into a usable tool for tracking and understanding personal finances. Visual charts made it easier to see spending patterns, while search and filtering improved accessibility. The project continues to evolve, with more features planned in the roadmap.
